Aunt Virginia

Filed under: General Family Stuff, News — Peter Bowen at 2:09 pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2007

As many of you know, Aunt Virginia passed away last Tuesday.

It seems like just yesterday that she was sitting in my kitchen telling me about the latest health research she was reading. The last time I saw her was at Aunt Shirley’s funeral, and I wish I could have spent a little more time with her. She was a really neat lady, and I will sorely miss her. I only regret that I didn’t get to know her when she was younger.

I found this announcement online. If there is another, I would be interested in posting it as well. I would also like to have a picture if someone has one.

We love you Aunt Virginia. God be with you ’till we meet again.

Mathew is orange… Ali’s coming home

Filed under: News — Peter Bowen at 10:15 am on Sunday, April 9, 2006

Matthew is not coming home today because his bilireuben count is too high.  It breaks my heart to see that tiny body with an IV, the little eye protectors and all those lights.  He’s a trooper though and seems to be in good spirits.
On the other hand, Ali is coming home today, but we exepect to be shuffling back and forth over the next couple of days.  Keep us in your prayers.

Matthew arrived on schedule this afternoon at around 3:30 PM Utah time. He was HUGE weighing in at 9 lbs 14 ozs and 21″ tall. He is healthy and pink, and Ali is doing well too. We expect he and Ali to be home tomorrow or the next day. Pictures are here…

Matthew is coming – What to expect

Filed under: General Family Stuff, News — Peter Bowen at 8:47 am on Monday, April 3, 2006

Well, the day of Matthew’s arrival is quickly approaching.  Ali is VERY scheduled so I fully expect him to come right on cue Friday Morning.  Watch the site, because if he comes early, I’ll be sure to post details here.  So here’s the schedule for those who may anticipate coming for the blessing.

April 7th – Matthew Arrives (Expected)

April 9th – Matthew Comes Home

May 7th – Fast Sunday -

Baby Blessing (Church is at 9:00)

Lunch after at Peter & Ali’s house

If you are coming from out of state, let us know so that we can make arrangements.  The house is a little full right now with the basement not yet finished and Ali’s dad staying with us.  The plan is to have the basement done by the beginning of May, so we should have room for Mom & Dad, and one possibly two other couples and babies.  Reserve early for best selection ;) I’ll keep everyone posted!
